The Devauden 10k Trail Race.
It was a very wet and cold bank holiday morning when 8 members went over to Devauden to take part in the first ever Devauden 10k Race.
233 took part - and were treated to mud glorious mud and bumpy forest trails. After the race the cup of tea and home made cakes were worth the effort!
Ade was first man home for us - 8th overall, and 1st V50, closely followed by Dimitri 9th, and 2nd V40.
Sharon - (pictured here in raptures over the rain at the start) completed the hoard of prizes by picking up 2nd in her category.
Andy, Stewart, Chris Simms, Christine and Hayley made up the rest of the team, and all did really well.
A few images taken on the day....
A Tale of Two Halves...
A massive Well Done to Sam Toop - in an amazing display of talent and strength, she competed in two half marathons on Sunday and Monday of the bank holiday and picked up 2 prizes in 2 days - and put Pontypwl & District Runners on the map over the bridge...

Steve between 19 and 20 miles.. |
Our first Team outing and it was a brilliant success. Never mind scores and positions - (although if scoring properly, both teams came second, not bad for newcomers!) - the team spirit was on a high, and the warm welcome that we received from the other clubs in the league was so inspiring.
Well done to everyone- supporters and runners.
